PERI Seeking Nominations for Board of Directors

Fairfax, Va. — The Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI), a nonprofit research institute focused on risk management training and education, is accepting nominations to fill two positions on the board of directors.  Board members and former Chairs Yvonne Norton Leung and Gary Binger will step down from the board in December 2008.

PERI's board of directors is comprised of five members. PERI's charter directs that three members of the board represent the interests of the public sector. The remaining two director positions are filled with a representative of nonprofit organizations and one representing small business interests. The positions to be filled are for a nonprofit representative and a public sector representative.

The deadline for submitting nominations to the board nominating committee is August 1, 2008. Elections will be held on September 25 during the quarterly board meeting to be held in Richmond, Va.
