QBE North America, a specialist insurer and unit of QBE Insurance Group Ltd., has hired Risa Ryan as SVP--analytics, with responsibility to lead the development and delivery of analytical services.
John Beckman, Chief Underwriting Officer, QBE North America said, “Risa is a proven leader and talented insurance executive who is joining QBE with more than 20 years of leadership, data and analytics experience.”
Ryan is tasked with advancing the strength of QBE’s innovation analytic strategy for North America, and building a team focused on state of the art analytic models and methods to push business objectives forward.
Before the her newest endeavors with QBE, Ryan was at Munich Re America, where her last position was Head of Strategy and Analysis.
"Nurturing a robust analytics ecosystem is critical to how we build for the future, respond to emerging market trends and help our customers manage risk from end to end with integrated solutions. Among the many avenues we are exploring, we see great potential in mining internal and external data and applying Machine Learning, and we're excited to have Risa help power our efforts.” Beckham added.
