Tatum will serve as president of the collaborative, agent-driven forum. “It will be an honor to serve as president of the National Advisory Council during its upcoming 10th anniversary year,” Tatum said. “I’m excited to continue the fine work done by our past leaders, giving all independent agents, no matter their size or location, a voice within Safeco.”
Tatum has been a part of the council since 2004, most recently holding the VP position, which will now be filled by Ogard. “I look forward to representing fellow independent agents and working with Safeco to create new opportunities, resolve concerns and improve communication,” said Ogard.
The National Advisory Council was developed to provide agents with an avenue to bring issues and recommendations to the company’s attention, as well as the means to collaborate on solutions. The national council includes the president and VP from each of the company’s regional councils across the country, Safeco says, and the officers of the national council are elected by its members.
