Security First Appoints COO and VP, Ops

Security First Insurance Co., a Florida-based homeowners insurance provider, has appointed Werner Kruck as COO and Marilyn Reynolds as VP of operations.

Kruck, who joined the company in 2008, has been instrumental in the company's growth, Security First says. As part of this, he’s helped to develop and enhance many of the insurer’s products, including its mobile site, an iPhone application, its online policyholder service center and its policy servicing systems.

Reynolds began her insurance career in 1996, and has more than 20 years of experience in project management, system development, and employee and client training. She joined the company in 2006 as director of operations, and currently oversees more than 20 employees.

Thanks to Reynolds, Security First says it successfully transitioned its underwriting and customer service operations from being operated by a third-party business partner to in-house in 2010 and, as a result, created several new positions.
