Tufts Health Plan Licenses DxCG RiskSmart

DxCG Inc., an independent provider of predictive modeling software for health care organizations, today announced that Tufts Health Plan has signed a multi-year contract to license DxCG's RiskSmart, its Web-based suite of predictive modeling tools. Waltham, Mass.-based Tufts Health Plan joins other leading Massachusetts health plans, providers and payers using DxCG's predictive modeling tools to improve the financial forecasting of its health care operations.

According to Cynthia Burghard, a research director with GartnerG2, "Fast rising health care costs have made health care organizations eager to exert more control and get a better understanding of the risk factors within their populations. They also want better control over the programs and interventions they create, support and license."

"We researched a number of options for predictive modeling and selected DxCG," said Manuel D. Chrobak, assistant vice president of underwriting at Tufts Health Plan. "We found that DxCG researchers are at the forefront in this area which made it a smart choice for us."

"We are looking forward to working with Tufts Health Plan," said Marilyn Schlein Kramer, president and CEO of DxCG.  "The fact that all of the major health plans, providers and payers in one market are using the same predictive models confirms that DxCG has become a standard for health care organizations of all varieties."
