Westfield Insurance, a company offering commercial and personal insurance, has added Declaration Pages to its Activity Notes download through IVANS Insurance Solutions, a division of Applied Systems. This enables the carrier to deliver more policy information directly to its independent agencies.

Activity Notes is an ACORD XML data standard that allows carriers to generate and send policy, billing, claims and policyholder-related messages to their agencies through IVANS. It offers secure online communication from carriers to their independent agencies, delivering policy information that would otherwise be sent through email, fax and postal mail. Activity Notes allows carriers to send policy and claims information for unsupported insurance lines of business for which no ACORD standard currently exists. The Activity Notes download is only available through the IVANS network.

With the addition of Activity Notes Dec Pages, Westfield can deliver PDF files of new business renewals, reinstatements and policy changes for personal lines and commercial lines Dec pages, as well as underwriting documents. Westfield uses IVANS Translation for Activity Notes to synchronize policy information between the company and agent systems to ensure all parties have access to current information. The connectivity and information exchange Activity Notes provides are essential advantages for carriers and agencies, said IVANS.

“Westfield relies on independent agency partners and our agency automation staff is focused on delivering solutions that improve efficiencies in the way we work together,” said David Freetage, policy processing leader, Westfield Insurance. “With Activity Notes download through IVANS, we deliver information directly to our agents’ management systems, which benefits our agents, our shared customers and Westfield by eliminating paper and improving workflow.”
