Wolters Kluwer Updates Compliance Software

Wolters Kluwer Financial Services announced that ComplianceWare, its market conduct research tool, has been updated in an attempt to provide insurers with access to market conduct exams and the more-than-900 enforcement actions issued since January 2010 in a unified, searchable environment.

While most insurance market conduct exams are public information, the company’s statement points to the exams’ limited availability on insurance department websites, requiring frequent direct requests for the documents. Additionally, Wolters Kluwer claims not all of the content is released on state websites in searchable formats, making it difficult to locate specific reports or topics.

“ComplianceWare allows insurers to access specific aspects of market conduct exams and pull together the information they need to assess their own compliance programs and practices,” said Pam Ewing, general manager of Insurance Compliance Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services.
