San Diego, CA--WorldGroup has introduced InsureWorx First Report of Injury (FROI), the latest InsureWorx On Demand Solution (ODS).  The new FROI capabilities offer exceptional efficiency and customer service to the First Report of Injury process, enabling efficient and timely intervention - critically important to controlling overall costs of workplace injury claims. The company  launched the solution at  RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition.

The new FROI capabilities enhance the InsureWorx product suite and growing library of InsureWorx On Demand Solutions.  In addition to the new FROI capabilities, InsureWorx offers components to support electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP), Underwriting, Billing, Policy and Claims administration.

InsureWorx is a proven asset utilizing "pure" Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) architecture, implemented with IBM's WebSphere Application Server; the Legacy replacement technology of choice for mid- and large-volume insurance carriers.  With InsureWorx, carriers are afforded all of the fully integrated, open standard, Web-based advantages J2EE provides over older technologies. InsureWorx provides a broad technical stance for whatever Web-based services you desire or are required to provide, today and in the future.

"Rather than trying to replace all core processing at once and tackle a high-risk approach to full Legacy replacement, insurers now can control their own destiny and effectively manage the risk and rewards involved in any Legacy replacement effort by determining the starting point based on their own needs, priority, and risks," said Deborah Smallwood, Insurance Practice Leader with TowerGroup.  "WorldGroup leverages new web service technologies like J2EE and WebSphere that provides the framework for enterprise component-based architecture."

Gary Sherne, WorldGroup's President and CEO, stated, "The FROI On Demand Solution further strengthens our InsureWorx product suite, by providing yet another component-building block, enabling insurance companies to incrementally introduce new capabilities or replace functional Legacy areas as needs dictate.  This flexible, low risk approach is what we promised the industry when we introduced the first InsureWorx components almost two years ago.  Since that time, we've continued to add new component functionality and tactical solutions, offering the insurance industry the most advanced J2EE/WebSphere insurance applications available for core insurance administration processing."
