9 Vendors, 6 Insurers Receive VIP Awards

Insurance Networking News and Celent announced the winners of the seventh annual Vanguards in Insurance Practices (VIP) awards during a ceremony at the ACORD LOMA Forum in Las Vegas on May 6.

INN developed the ranking in partnership with Celent, an independent business research and advisory service with a specialization in insurance technology. Celent facilitated survey development, data collection and analysis. The result is an insightful set of rankings based on objective peer review.

"The VIP program is a great way to recognize technology vendors that provide real, measurable value to their insurance customers,” said Chuck Johnston, Celent research director. “Insurers tend to be very loyal to vendors that go above and beyond the norm in delivering good product and service, as seen in this year's list of preferred vendors. The survey results show customers value honesty, insurance expertise and focus on customer service."

INN also honored the year's best technology implementations for the VIP Best Practices award. Vendors that received a vote in the VIP awards were asked to provide case studies of their customers who demonstrated technology best practices and the best use of standards. The VIP Best Practices award winners were then selected by the editors of INN, along with members of INN’s editorial advisory board and Celent analysts.
