ACE USA Appoints SVP of Distribution Management

ACE USA, the U.S. retail operations of ACE Group, appointed Carl Sutter to SVP of distribution management. Sutter will collaborate with ACE USA regional teams across the United States and be responsible for developing strategic broker relationships and driving broker-specific distribution strategies for all ACE operating units nationally. Sutter will report to Ed Zaccaria, division president of ACE USA regional operations.

“I’m pleased to welcome Carl into this growing practice within ACE USA’s regional operations,” Zaccaria said. “He joins a team of senior level executives with similar responsibilities and a track record of successful management of our key broker initiatives. Carl is a proven leader with an extensive background in relationship management. His wide-ranging knowledge of ACE’s global and specialty product capabilities as well as his established reputation with our brokers, positions him well to take on this new responsibility.”

Sutter has more than 24 years’ experience in insurance with ACE USA and predecessor organizations. Most recently was SVP, national corporate risk segment leader for ACE USA’s regional operations, where he was responsible for developing and managing ACE USA’s middle market sales, marketing and distribution initiatives. Previously he held roles in business development, field operations, account management and claims. Sutter earned Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.

“ACE continues to make meaningful investments in both client and broker relationship management. The distribution management initiative complements our global client executive practice in providing dedicated resources where necessary to deliver the best possible service to our brokers and to be better aligned strategically with them. Carl will be an integral part of our expanded plan to provide a key point of contact to facilitate access to our people and products, and work to grow our relationship across ACE,” said John Lupica, chairman, insurance-North America.
