HARTFORD, Conn.--Insurity Inc., a ChoicePoint company, today announced that AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. has selected Insurity's Commercial Intellisys property/casualty policy processing services and software platform. The company is the managing general agent for AEGIS, a leading insurer of utilities and related energy businesses.
"We needed a flexible technology partner who could provide complete policy management functionality on a proven platform that supports all our lines of business," said Sandee Shivers, AEGIS Services senior vice president and chief information officer.
AEGIS Services will replace its legacy policy systems across all its lines of business. The primary business objectives are to reduce IT-related costs, consolidate systems, improve workflows, free underwriters from paperwork so they can spend more time with policyholders and brokers and ensure consistent "best practices" underwriting, Shivers said.
Besides the Web-based Commercial Intellisys policy management system, AEGIS Services will also implement Insurity's IntelliBank, a state-of-the-art online management-reporting platform. This Internet-based application integrates with any number of databases, providing a range of business information to internal and external users.
