Agents’ Group, DRI Form Strategic Partnership

Industry group Agents of America (AOA)  reports that it has formed a strategic partnership with the Professional Liability Committee of the Defense Research Institute (DRI).  DRI is an international organization of attorneys devoted to the defense of businesses and individuals in civil litigation. It consists of approximately 22,000 members, including defense attorneys, corporate counsel, and insurance claims attorneys. Known as “The Voice of the Defense Bar,” DRI says that it is committed to educating and enhancing the professionalism of defense lawyers, and to improving the overall civil justice system.

DRI’s Professional Liability Committee, chaired by Matt Marrone of Lucas and Cavalier in Philadelphia, Pa., provides education and networking opportunities to those interested in a wide array of professional liability topics. The committee focuses on defense and insurance coverage issues relevant to insurance agents and brokers, lawyers, accountants, real estate professionals, and design professionals, among others.

The partnership was formed under a DRI initiative that encourages each of DRI’s substantive law committees to establish a relationship with an industry group outside of DRI, with the expectation that both the committee and industry group will benefit from the partnership in various ways.

DRI will work with AOA to facilitate educational events such as web seminars, the organizations report.
