EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Computer Sciences Corporation today announced that American United Life Insurance Company (AUL) has licensed Automated Work Distributor (AWD) software to improve the efficiency of its back-office operations by streamlining its business processes.
AWD is a business process management, electronic imaging and workflow, and customer management system that helps companies reduce costs, enhance customer service and achieve breakthrough levels of productivity. AWD is a product of DST Technologies Inc. CSC, which is the exclusive distributor of AWD to the insurance industry, provides project management, business reengineering and information technology (IT) services for its clients' AWD implementations.
The new agreement extends CSC's 14-year relationship with AUL, which will use the system at its Indianapolis, Ind., operations center. AWD will help the company improve productivity and reduce turnaround times for customer service and policy underwriting and issue for its individual life and annuity products. In addition, AWD's real-time work monitoring tools will help AUL management proactively respond to peaks in demand, reduce backlogs and improve overall service levels.
