ZURICH UPDATES SURETY EXPRESSZurich North America, the Schaumburg, Ill.-based commercial property/casualty insurer, has launched Surety Express Release 2, an updated version of its free online surety bond processing system. Offering a number of key enhancements, including improved screens and time-saving features, Release 2 enables agents in all 50 states and the District of Columbia to rate, underwrite, quote, obtain and issue commercial and contract surety bonds directly from the Zurich Web site at www.zurichna.com/surety.

INSURANCE CENTER FOR EXPATS

XN Holdings, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based online provider of insurance and financial products for expatriates and internationally mobile employees, has launched the XN Global Service Center, which features an array of new expatriate services. XN clients working abroad can now receive essential extended services in support of their health, safety, legal and financial needs. The XN Global Service Center, which consists of a toll-free, worldwide hotline and a client extranet site, enables expatriates and their sponsor companies to access the company's full line of services including: coordination of medical and political risk evacuation, health care provider referral, in-patient admissions support, assistance with direct payment to physicians and hospitals, and patient advocacy.

RATING ALLIANCE PROVIDES OPTION FOR AGENTS

A new alliance between Xcipio Inc., East Windsor, Conn., and The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. is providing Connecticut and New York-based insurance agents with seamless access from Xcipio's single-data-entry comparative rating platform to The Hartford Expressway. The alliance makes Xcipio's XcelerRator the first comparative rating tool to link directly to The Hartford ExpressWay, the Hartford, Conn.-based insurer's fast personal lines quote-to-issue technology. With seamless integration to The Hartford's ExpressWay, agents do not have to leave XcelerRator to complete the upload application submission process. This reduces the agency time required to place auto and homeowners accounts. Transactions that used to take an average of nine minutes have been cut down to an average of three minutes.

ST. PAUL TRAVELERS LAUNCHES INTERNET BASIC LIABILITY

St. Paul Travelers, St. Paul, Minn., has launched a basic Internet liability policy aimed at small to mid-size technology firms. Internet Basic Liability Protection is designed for technology businesses or firms with between $5 million and $100 million in revenues that conduct business over the Internet. Two particular risks are covered: Failing to protect private customer or client information from hackers or accidental disclosure online and failing to prevent the spread of computer viruses.
