Exstream Software Inc., Lexington, Ky., announced today an agreement with Kanematsu Electronics Ltd. (KEL) in Tokyo to market the company's products in Japan. Under the terms of the agreement, KEL will offer Dialogue, WebVerse, AFP Studio and future Exstream products as part of its solution set for managing document information infrastructures. Exstream chose Kanematsu for its strong customer relationships in the Japanese market, specifically in the mail order, insurance, security, credit card and utility industries, the company stated.

The alliance, which was announced at the ISOTech 2004 conference in New Orleans, will KEL to expand its customer base. "The print-on-demand market in Japan is increasing every year, and by packaging our document solutions with Dialogue, we can provide the on-demand and variable printing requirements our customers need," says Yasuo Tanaka, general manager of the document system sales division, KEL.

"Partnering with Kanematsu Electronics will provide many benefits for Exstream as well, including expanded global reach and the ability to build our brand in the Asian market," says Steve Whitman, general manager of international sales and operations, Exstream Software. "We are looking forward to the benefits this relationship will bring to both companies."
