Georgia Casualty & Surety Deploys Insurity's Property/Casualty System

Insurity Inc., a ChoicePoint company, today announced that Georgia Casualty & Surety, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Atlantic American, has selected Insurity's Commercial Intellisys property/casualty policy processing services and software.  A complete Web-based rating, intelligent underwriting and electronic issuance platform is being deployed across 11 states for workers' compensation, commercial business auto, general liability, commercial package and umbrella policies.

"We chose Insurity based upon a number of factors," said Craig Stufflet, Georgia Casualty's vice president of underwriting.  "We were impressed with their ability to seamlessly integrate with our legacy platforms, including its extensability to the Internet for agents to securely log-in and process business.  Other benefits include automation of regulatory and customized forms retrieval, as well as full transaction processing capabilities such as out-of-sequence, endorsement and renewal handling."

The system design and functionality of the Commercial Intellisys platform was compatible with current application system architectures at Atlantic American.  Screen flows are easy to navigate and intuitive, resulting in a shorter learning curve for business analysts and their user groups.  Data conversion was handled by a sophisticated software utility that allowed SQL data to be produced for population into the new policy administration system.  An additional differentiator for the Insurity solution was seamless interfacing to back-office legacy systems, thus enabling claims, billing and reinsurance functions to be performed with current, complete data.

"Georgia Casualty represents a classic case of a company realizing that both the business and technology drivers are not conducive for building all of their IT systems in-house, " stated Tony Reisz, Insurity senior vice president. "To make sure all needs are adequately covered, managers of insurance enterprise and e-business systems must accommodate industry change, product and service delivery, information management, supply-chain support, multiple distribution channels and ever-shifting technologies.  By capitalizing on Insurity's broad and deep base of functionality, Georgia Casualty will enjoy more rapid speed-to-market, true scalability as it grows, and seamless functionality between the front and back offices."

Insurity's services portfolio provides Internet-based commercial Property & Casualty policy rating, underwriting, issuance and statistical coding for all lines of business in all 50 states - and supports the billing, claims and reinsurance functions for those same lines.  Additional services include full compliance support, data warehousing/reporting and business process outsourcing for multiple insurance company functions.
