Matthew Eagle has been appointed managing director and head of international analytics for Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, a global risk and reinsurance specialist, effective August 1. He will report to Nick Frankland, CEO of EMEA Operations.
Eagle will be responsible for thought leadership and resources across the EMEA and AsiaPac regions and developing catastrophe modeling and analytics propositions. Eagle has more than 20 years of experience in the reinsurance sector.
Most recently, Eagle was head of catastrophe analytics and a regional director of Willis Re International. Prior, he spent 14 years with Aon Re, now Aon Benfield, and became coordinator for analytics delivery across EMEA operations. After earning an MSC at the University of Minnesota, Eagle worked in statistical software and consulting, including a period in the department of statistics at the University of Oxford.
"Matthew brings a wealth of experience in catastrophe risk assessment across the numerous geographies that make up our international region,” Frankland said. “As such, he is the perfect fit for taking our analytics offering onto a new and higher level, working in tandem with our strategic advisory team, to provide our clients with enhanced insight into all aspects of their capital and risk management requirements. He will add invaluable skills to our regional leadership.”
