Highmark Administers Agiliance, HITRUST Programs

Agiliance Inc., an independent governance, risk and compliance provider (GRC), announced that health insurance provider Highmark Inc. will enlist the use of Agiliance RiskVision program, a GRC platform that ensures compliance, reduces costs and allows users to meet industry mandates.

Agiliance RiskVision integrates seven GRC applications: Compliance Manager, Enterprise Risk Manager, Policy Manager, Vendor Risk Manager, Incident Risk Manager, Privacy Manager and the Threat and Vulnerability Manager.

"As a leading health insurer, we are subject to both regulatory and contract compliance requirements from the government, such as HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, Red Flags, DIACAP, DoD Checklists, NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA," said Al Lebiednik, manager of regulatory compliance at Highmark Inc. "This creates a high compliance burden on our organization's processes and resources. “By implementing the Agiliance GRC Solution, we aim to reduce cost and improve program scalability by leveraging automation and remove redundancy across compliance mandates."

Highmark also announced it will implement the Health Information Trust Alliance’s (HITRUST) Common Security Framework (CSF).

"Implementing a successful and cost-effective security strategy to meet compliance regulations can be a time-consuming task for healthcare organizations," said Daniel Nutkis, CEO, HITRUST. "GRC solutions such as Agiliance RiskVision can aid organizations in simplifying the process of complying and reporting against the HITRUST CSF, resulting in greater efficiencies and confidence."
