<i>INN</i> Launches Insurance Experts&#146; Forum

As the editors at Insurance Networking News (INN) prepare to launch a new online presence, they are pleased to deliver an enhanced opinion section of its Web site with offerings from top technology experts, industry analysts and consultants, effective today.

“We are excited to host the most popular bloggers in our insurance business and technology marketplace,” says Pat Speer, INN editor-in-chief. “And the timing could not be better. Recently, traffic to INN’s Web site began growing exponentially, and see no signs of abating. Our commitment to our viewers is to provide well-known bloggers who will provide their own views of the “why” behind some of the most important trends in our industry, and keep our online community up to speed in the process.”

Ara Trembly, previously technology editor at National Underwriter and Tech Decisions for Insurance magazines, will blog exclusively for INN, posting his insurance “world view” from what he calls the “tech guru’s perspective.”

Now a financial services industry consultant, Ara will be joined by Joe McKendrick, an analyst, editor, author in organizational and technology innovation, popular blogger on ebizQ and ZDNet sites and a seasoned contributor to INN’s print magazine. The insurance research analysts at Forrester also will provide content written specifically for INN viewership, and Celent insurance research analysts will share a global view of industry trends.

“As we gear up to enable a public response mechanism and create a true interactive online community, we’ll also offer the bloggers’ e-mail addresses for viewers to use to share comments,” says Alex Vorro, INN’s senior editor/Web. “We will then cycle those comments back to readers via print and online sharing.”

Other enhancements planned for the new INN Web site include editorially driven Web seminars and videos, and a broader center section for “top stories.”
