IRI President to Join U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee

The Insured Retirement Institute (IRI), previously NAVA, the Association for Insured Retirement Strategies, will have a voice in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The association’s CEO will join U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100, which is comprised of association chief staff executives. These CEOs represent association members before the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, enhance Chamber advocacy and coalition work; recommend programming; and strengthen outreach to the business and association community.

“The Committee of 100 is one of the most highly regarded groups within the association community,” Weatherford says. “I am honored to have been selected to join the ranks of this prominent group. This is a critical time for the financial industry—one that necessitates broad collaborations and proactive thought. By having the opportunity to represent IRI and our industry on this committee, I am confident that we will be able to forge new alliances to help advance common goals that are shared by many of the member organizations.”

Four former members of Congress, two Governors and several “Executives of the Year” currently serve on the Committee of 100. The group includes a diverse combination of men and women from throughout the United States representing associations of all sizes, both national and international.
