Canadian insurance giant Manulife has today announced Linda Mantia as its new senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective Oct. 3.
Mantia joins Manulife from Royal Bank of Canada where she served as VP of digital, payments and cards for the financial firm. In her new role, she will lead approximately 7,100 people globally and partake in Manulife’s executive committee—helping develop the carrier’s corporate strategy and oversee its innovation portfolio, according to the company.
“Linda is a collaborative, innovative and transformative leader, with deep roots in digital disruption and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences,” said Donald Guloien, president and chief executive officer of Manulife, in a statement. “The proven track record of success she has built throughout her career is not only directly relevant to the COO role, but also aligns closely to our customer-centric strategy.”
