FIRSTLOGIC, PITNEY MERGER CALLED OFFFirstlogic Inc., a La Crosse, Wis.-based provider of enterprise information quality solutions, and Pitney Bowes Inc., Lanham, Md., have agreed not to extend their merger agreement. This concludes Pitney's planned acquisition of Firstlogic, which had been publicly announced in September. After reviewing the second request for information issued by the Federal Trade Commission, the two companies decided not to proceed further with the acquisition, according to Eric Lieberman, president of Firstlogic.

CONSULTING FIRMS TEAM ON INFORMATION INFRASTRUCTURE FRAMEWORK

Intelligent Solutions Inc., a Boulder, Colo.-based business intelligence and customer relationship management firm, and BI Research, a research, education and consulting firm based in Ashland, Ore., have teamed up to develop CIFe, an extension of the Corporate Information Factory (CIF), a framework that shows companies how to build an enterprisewide information infrastructure. The CIF was developed in 1998 by data warehousing pioneers Bill Inmon and Dr. Claudia Imhoff.

PARTNERSHIP YIELDS SPECIALIZED AUTOMATED PAYMENT SOFTWARE

Jopari Solutions Inc., a Concord, Calif.-based supplier of automated payment processing services for the insurance industry, and the Mitchell Medical division of Mitchell International, an auto claims workflow automation firm located in San Diego, are distributing Decision Point AutoPay, a specialized version of the JopariPay payment automation service and Mitchell's Decision Point suite of medical bill review, utilization review and management reporting software.

PATNI BASES STP SOLUTION ON FILENET ECM

Patni Computer Systems Ltd., an IT services firm based in India, has launched its Life New Business Straight Through Processing STP solution on on FileNet P8, Costa Mesa, Calif.-based FileNet's enterprise content management platform.

RELICORE JOINS PEREGRINE ALLIANCE PROGRAM

Relicore Inc., a Burlington, Mass.-based provider of application and server configuration management solutions, has joined Peregrine Systems' Technology Alliance Program. Relicore will deliver bi-directional product integration between its Relicore Clarity software and Peregrine ServiceCenter.

ISO, FIRST NOTICE ENHANCE FNOL FRAUD DETECTION

Jersey City, N.J.-based ISO and First Notice Systems, a Boston-based firm specializing in first-notice-of-loss technology, will deliver a new FNOL fraud-detection solution to the property/casualty insurance marketplace. The new software extends First Notice's current FNOL) capability to score claims based on client-defined fraud indicators within ClaimCapture to include a fraud evaluation from ISO ClaimDirector, ISO's claim-scoring and fraud-detection analytical solution. The fraud analysis is delivered to the carrier along with the associated FNOL data on a real-time basis, designed to reduced intensive manual fraud-review processes.

TRIPWIRE POWERS GSI REGULATED HOSTING SOLUTIONS

GSI, Kansas City, Mo., has joined with Tripwire Inc., a Portland, Ore.-based provider of change auditing software, to offer a fully compliant hosting solution. Powered by Tripwire software, GSI's managed hosting services provide clients with a secure infrastructure and the operational expertise to assure compliance with specific regulations and guidelines, including HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, and Sarbanes Oxley.
