Principal Financial Group has released an enhanced mobile application that will allow dental insurance members to no longer need a dental ID card in their wallets. Employees who participate in dental coverage offered through The Principal now can access all of the information on their current cards on their mobile devices. The Principal's mobile app is free and secure.
Principal says dental coverage members can email or fax their ID cards directly to their dentists, or pull it up themselves to view coverage information. Members can look up easily a network dentist in their local areas, complete with a map and driving directions, through the network dentist directory feature. Dental benefits and processed claims also area available for view through the app.
The Principal mobile application first was released in July 2011, to allow retirement plan participants to track savings progress and view account information. Members who already have downloaded the Principal app will receive an automatic notification to update to the newest version.
