VOIP RECORDING PORTFOLIO EXPANDED BY CTI GROUP INC.CTI Group Inc., Indianapolis, a provider of VoIP call recording communications, has expanded its VoIP call recording portfolio to include SmartRecord Cards and Recording-enabled SIP Trunks.

With the addition of those products, the company claims it broadens the reach of VoIP call recording and helps reduce the initial capital investment for end users.

Both products use on-line interface to retrieve recorded calls. The SmartRecord Cards are 800-number cards that allow users to record calls on demand from any location.

Users enter the 800-number and the destination number. They then retrieve the recorded conversation on-line through an interactive interface.

The product also expands the number of locations where users can make recorded calls, catering to the mobile, global business market.

SOFTWARE HELPS CARRIERS CONDUCT ONLINE SURVEYS

Database Solutions Ltd., a Markham, Ontario-based customer relationship management (CRM) and technology company, has introduced an online survey product called eCRM Survey. The on-demand software offering helps companies design online surveys, collect data and analyze results, the maker says.

Features include survey templates, reporting, mailing groups and live on-demand feedback. Pricing is based on the number of responses generated.

Online surveys represent a rapidly growing multi-million dollar market where companies measure customer satisfaction, conduct market research, try out tests and obtain 360-degree feedback, the company says.

GOMEZ PROVIDES NEW WAYS TO RATE ONLINE EXPERIENCE

Gomez Inc., Lexington, Mass., has strengthened its Competitive Benchmarking practice, giving companies and analysts new ways to rate the online experiences they're offering customers, the company says.

Each Gomez business process benchmark measures response time, success rate and consistency.

To collect comparison data, Gomez systems automatically perform specific tasks that hypothetical customers might want to accomplish. For example, the banking benchmark analyzes response time and success in downloading checking account transaction history.

DSPA RELEASING FASAT 4.0 FOR FIELD SUPPORT, TRACKING

Toronto-based DSPA Software Inc. has released Version 4.0 of the Field Administration Support and Tracking (FASAT) System. FASAT 4.0 allows insurance carriers to manage the growing number and growing complexity of sales channels.

The technology base for FASAT will remain Microsoft.NET, Microsoft's current-generation technology. That base continues to provide the lowest total cost of ownership while enhancing application reliability, security and performance. The .NET architecture reduces the reliance on third party offerings.

The data management system for FASAT 4.0 is Microsoft SQL 2005. The user interface of FASAT 4.0 has been redesigned to take advantage of the newest Microsoft technology and has become more welcoming and more intuitive to use, the company says, while the navigation flow has been redesigned to make screens more accessible and easier to find.

TWO NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS ADDED TO TWINHEAD'S LINE

Freemont, Calif.-based Twinhead, Corp. has introduced the Durabook D13RY and D14RY models, ruggedized notebook computers with Intel Core Duo and Core 2 Duo processors as well as optional TPM 1.2, hardware-based security for data protection.

The two new models bring together Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology, Intel Pro/Wireless LAN 3945 ABG (802.11a/b/g) and Genuine Microsoft Windows XP (Professional and Home Editions). Both are Windows Vista ready and they support DDRII 667 SDRAM, the manufacturer says.

The Durabook D13RY mobile multimedia center has a 13.3" WXGA TFT LCD screen, 1.3 mega pixel Web cam, and four 1-watt stereo speakers. The D14RY is built for the road warrior and includes a non-glare 14.1" XGA TFT LCD display.

INTELLIGENT NOTIFICATION OFFERED IN MIR3 PRODUCT

MIR3, which has headquarters in San Diego, has announced the official introduction of intelligent notification that the company says will reduce global transaction costs and increase global availability of high-speed multimodal communications.

Companies use notification solutions to manage human relations. When the tsunami struck in Asia in 2005, for example, the world's largest packaged goods company used MIR3 to locate missing employees. The global report-back process took hours, not weeks. That company has now rolled out MIR3 Intelligent Notification for business operations in more than 20 countries, the company says.

INTEGRATION SERVICES HUB NEW FROM PORTELLUS INC.

Portellus Inc., an Irvine, Calif.-based provider of business user-driven change management solutions, has launched PIXMO, a stand-alone integration services hub that the company says streamlines system-to-system integration.

PIXMO standardizes and reuses components to achieve rapid, cost-effective connectivity between legacy systems and third party providers, thus reducing development costs and timeframes, the company says. PIXMO uses a service-oriented approach to architecture design to enable IT departments to manage diverse internal and external systems.

The product also offers enterprise-grade implementations for advanced Web services and key standards, such as MISMO, Web Services and XML, which are necessary for SOA deployments in both .NET and Java.

NEW KIND OF E-MAIL SYSTEM WORKS AS VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

Electronic Virtual Assistant (EVA), a Salt Lake City provider of voice-based services, is offering a new kind of e-mail. The product delivers "can't-be-missed" messages even when the recipient isn't in front of a computer and allows for spontaneous reply without a keyboard and without the need for thumb-typing a response.

Important VIP messages are automatically forwarded to the recipient's cell phone and read aloud. The recipient can then dictate a reply in his or her own voice that will be returned via e-mail as a wave file.

The system also forwards VIP e-mail as a text message to the user's cell phone when the recipient isn't available.

TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

BioPassword Inc., an Issaquah, Wash.-based software company, has partnered with NAFCU Services Corp., an Arlington, Va.-based subsidiary of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions, to offer and promote BioPassword's two-factor authentication solution that is designed to ensure strong authentication and compliance with federal regulations. BioPassword provides secure authentication for more than 400,000 online users. The solution authenticates individuals based on their typing rhythm and does not disrupt their usual login process.

CHECK RECONCILEMENT AND PAY SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT

An ACH Fraud Filter has been added to Exact/TMS, a comprehensive check reconcilement and positive pay system from Centrix Solutions Inc., headquartered in Lincoln, Neb. This enhancement enables financial institutions to offer corporate clients both positive pay (to detect check fraud) and an ACH fraud manager in a single, Web-based solution. The ACH Fraud Filter fits within the existing framework of Exact/TMS because the system is designed to be highly automated, include e-mail notification to clients and enable corporate clients to make pay/return decisions on potential fraudulent checks via the Web.

TIMESTAMP SERVICE FOR STANDARDS

AbsoluteProof-ISOX9 is a timestamp service conformant with both the American National Standard X9.95-2005 Trusted Time Stamp Management and Security Standard (ANSI X9.95) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 18014-3. AbsoluteProof-ISOX9, from Herndon, Va.-based Surety LLC, enables the financial services industry to legally attest to the time and content integrity of electronic documentation indefinitely. It is designed to offer long-lasting protection and provide objective proof of record integrity independent of a company's people, processes and systems. According to Surety, ANSI X9.95 is a superset of RFC 3161 and compatible with ISO 18014-3.

CREDIT RISK ANALYSIS NOW AVAILABLE IN SPANISH

Moody's KMV, a San Fransisco-based provider of quantitative credit risk measurement and management solutions, has announced a Spanish version of RiskAnalyst 4.2. It is designed to improve the speed, accuracy and consistency of internal rating systems by enabling institutions to capture, analyze and store financial and nonfinancial borrower and facility information. RiskAnalyst combines the analysis, reporting and credit risk assessment features of the Moody's KMV platform with browser-based delivery that lowers the cost of management and deployment. It includes components for standardizing analysis of financial results across differing local accounting practices, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) compliance, and internal rating assessment for small and medium enterprises and middle market lending. French and Chinese versions are also available.

REAL-TIME OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT DASHBOARD

FireScope Inc.'s IT operations management dashboard solution offers a real-time, intuitive and customizable look at the entire availability, performance and security of an enterprise's assets. FireScope, sold and installed as a network appliance or group of distributed appliances, creates a Web-based portal that reports on the operational status of a server, router, application or other networked asset, according to the La Palma, Calif.-based developer. Its asynchronous JavaScript and XML-driven, real-time graphical user interface comprised of portlets can be tailored or even hot-deployed to fit enterprise needs. Any JSR-168 compliant portlet can be applied to the FireScope system. The solution also offers a library of portal templates suitable for most operational or analytical needs.
