USAA, Jackson National, Kaiser Permanente Top Insure.com Customer Satisfaction Ranking

USAA, State Farm and Farmers received the highest scores from auto- and home-insurance customers, according to a survey from Insure.com. For three-consecutive years, USAA has ranked highest in both auto and home insurance categories, according to the survey.

The annual awards are based on 3,835 customer scores and rankings for 15 auto, home, health and 14 life insurers. Customers were asked to score their companies on five measurements: customer service, claims satisfaction, value for price paid, percent who plan to renew, percent who would recommend the company, though the life insurance scores did not include claims or renewal questions, insure.com noted.

“We hope to provide insurance customers with practical information on insurers. We want to take consumers beyond the TV commercials and give them insight into actual customer experience,” said Amy Danise, editorial director of Insure.com. “Interestingly, nine auto insurance companies out of the 15 surveyed scored five stars for ‘value for price. So a lot of drivers feel like they’re getting a good deal.”

The three top ranked companies for each category earn Insure.com’s “People’s Choice Award.” In the life insurance category, four companies earned the designation this year, as New York Life and State Farm Life tied in terms of total points.

“Insure.com’s customer satisfaction tool contains all the scores and rankings, plus A.M. Best financial strength ratings and information on discounts and special coverage options available from auto insurers, such as accident forgiveness and usage-based insurance,” the company said.
