Amica revamps billing system

Amica Mutual Insurance has deployed Guidewire BillingCenter to manage its billing operations.

Amica selected BillingCenter as part of its ongoing initiative to modernize its core systems. The mutual automobile insurer implemented BillingCenter across all personal lines of business and jurisdictions where it does business concurrently. Amica has also been live with Guidewire PolicyCenter since 2012 and is now a fully deployed Guidewire InsuranceSuite customer.

“The successful implementation of BillingCenter is a significant step in our journey to simplify our billing systems and processes on a single platform, and it provides an excellent foundation for the future,” said Roberta Gosselin, senior assistant vice president in Amica’s accounting department.

In addition to Amica, Guidewire also has The Co-operators Group, FBM Idaho, National Indemnity Company, and Safety National as insurance customers.

Amica has made strides in improving its core systems in the last few years. It teamed up with IBM to develop a mobile claims app last year. additionally, J.D. Power announced in October that Amica had topped its homeowners insurance customer satisfaction ranking for the 15th consecutive year last October.
