Frank Petersmark has joined Novarica, an insurance research and advisory firm as AVP of research and consulting.
Previously, Petersmark held the title of CIO Advocate at X by 2, an insurance technology consulting company specializing, where he met with CIOs and other senior IT and business executives to learn about their goals and frustrations, shared lessons learned and offered strategic counsel, Novarica said. Prior to that, he spent 21 years at Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co., with 13 years as its CIO and VP of information technology.
“Frank is an influential writer, presenter and consultant, and we’re excited to bring his distinctive experience in IT and executive leadership, transformational management and technologies, and the art and science of being an IT leader in the insurance industry to our more than 80 insurer clients and hundreds of CIO council members,” said Matthew Josefowicz, president and CEO of Novarica.
Petersmark has nearly 35 years’ experience as an information technology professional and executive in the insurance industry, and has presented and spoken at many insurance industry events and conferences. He earned a BA in history and art history from Madonna University, a masters in European history and a PhD in British History from Wayne State University.
