Lexington Expands Online Training for Employment Practices Liability

New York - Lexington Insurance Co., a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), has expanded it online training on its Web site at www.lexeplhelp.com for customers carrying employment practices liability (EPL) insurance.Launched in 1999 and formerly called www.eplselect.com, the Web site was developed to provide EPL insureds with free risk management resources and training tools.

Lexington's www.lexeplhelp.com was designed to help employers establish workplaces free from discrimination and harassment. The Web site includes management training tutorials on discrimination, harassment, evaluations, discipline, and termination as well as human resource tools such as best workplace practices manuals, management guidelines, policies, forms, employee handbooks and FAQs, on commonly encountered employee relations issues.

"Because of the specialized liability concerns of employers, we created www.lexeplhelp.com to provide our insureds with a variety of resources to assist in maintaining professional and discrimination-free work environments," says Ellen Hoadley, director of risk management, Lexington Insurance Co.

For California-based insureds, www.lexeplhelp.com also offers training that helps employers comply with California's new Assembly Bill (AB) 1825. AB 1825, intended to prevent workplace sexual harassment, requires employers with supervisory authority over California employees to take two hours of anti-harassment training every year. The Web site also provides resources and information specific to California workplace laws.
