Marsh & McLennan Opens Innovation Center

Marsh & McLennan Co.’s has opened the Marsh & McLennan Innovation Centre in Dublin, Ireland, which is intended to be a data and analytics development platform to deliver digital solutions to the company's risk management customers.

The Innovation Centre is a first for the company and reinforces Marsh’s drive for continuous innovation and industry leadership, the company said, and David Fike, Chief Technology Officer, has expanded his responsibilities to include president of the Innovation Centre. The Innovation Centre is expected to create up to 100 jobs, the company said.

“We are proud to launch the Marsh & McLennan Innovation Centre in Dublin as part of our efforts to develop the next generation of data-driven technologies and analytics across our Company," said Dan Glaser, president and CEO of Marsh & McLennan. "With nearly 600 employees in Ireland, Marsh & McLennan has benefited over the last four and a half decades from the skilled and global workforce in Ireland and the country’s culture of advancing technology and innovation.”

Richard Bruton, member of the Irish parliament and minister for jobs, enterprise and innovation said that data analytics is a sector targeted as part of an “Action Plan for Jobs,” and that there has been an impressive jobs performance in that area. Marsh worked with IDA Ireland, the agency responsible for directing foreign investment in the country.
